Dear Friends,

I have not taken the time to tell you all about our trip to Salt Lake City. I did tell our listeners on the FLY Show yesterday. So many wonderful things happened while we were there; it is hard to decide which to tell about first. I think I will just start with this testimonial. Over this weekend I will tell you more about our Utah trip. If I went into all of it now, it would take a while.

On Thursday I was on the Good Things Utah show. They wanted me to come back the next day and record a piece for the next week's show.

On Friday we walked into the Green room and there were 3 clean cut young men in there. They looked at us and asked if we were the hosts of the show. We laughed at them and and told them we were guests just like them only I was going to film before the show started. We found out they were country muscians and were going to perform on the show. We begged them to sing for us. They pulled out their guitar and they started to sing. We were acting like their mothers by making sure they were relaxed and presentable for the camera. They were so good.

The song they performed was a topic of conversation the day before; how kids don't know what to do without electricity, cell phones and Game Boys. Their song was so cute. There is a link on his website. You have to watch it with Internet Explorer. Click on the Good Things Utah video link. Here is http://www.ericdodge.com

We were really impressed with their talent and their manners. On the way to the doctor on Tuesday, Michele and I listened to their whole CD. It is one that we will know all the words to soon so we can sing to our hearts desire in the car.

Here is a email I received from the Dodge Boys' neighbor. They are like the kids next door. You just want them to have fun and do well.

FlyLady

Dear Flylady,

Last weekend my sister, LeAnne, two other friends and I, drove 350 miles up and back, through a big snowstorm to Salt Lake City just to see you. You did a marvelous job at the AMI convention, but I'm sure you have already heard that at least 800+ times. We are very glad that we braved the weather and were there. We had to leave Friday morning to get there in time and knew we would miss our neighbor's son, Eric Dodge, performing on Good Things Utah. (I did see you on the show the day before)

Eric's mom, Laurel, just called me and said "Didn't you go to see Flylady in SLC last weekend?" I said "Yes, we did." She said "Eric met her, too." She told me that he had met you at the TV studio and how impressed he and Andy were with you. Eric is so talented! His younger brothers, Andy and Ashton, sang in high school (madrigals, local bands, etc.) but not Eric. He didn't start until later. We didn't know how great he could sing. Eric just gets better and better. I'm not a country music fan, but Eric sings all types of music. We love having the chance to hear him locally. Besides being talented, he's just a great all around guy. I just talked to him on the phone and he said you said you would 'crash his website' for him. Anyone who has heard him sing is behind you on that. All he needs is exposure.

Well, I just wanted to let you know how excited we were to find out Eric had met you in person and you like him too. It was great to see you in SLC and find out you are a real person and not only e-mails. Thanks for all the good you do. If I had found you sooner, I might still be in my first marriage and that would be too bad. But that's a story for another day.
